Today is a good time to get motivated and make a list of the goals you want to achieve during your lifetime.

However, it is imperative that you do not just stop after making your list. You need to stay motivated and create a game plan for accomplishing your goals.

Take the time to break each goal down into smaller goals. Then create a time line for accomplishing each goal.

The timeline for achieving your goals should be broken down into daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, five years, ten years, and so on.

Breaking your goals down into smaller goals will help keep you motivated as you accomplish each one.

Create a daily to do list for achieving your goals. Make sure the list is reasonable so that you will  stay motivated to achieve your goals.

Trying to accomplish too much each day can lead to frustration and stress.

Just make your list manageable, so that you can keep moving forward and enjoy other aspects of your life.

Make it a habit to examine your to do lists, periodically, and see if any adjustments are needed in your goals.

Consider the following guideline when reviewing your goals:

1. Make sure your goals are written down. This will make them more real and keep you accountable.

2. Make sure your goals are positive. There is no reason to focus on things you find negative.

3. Keep the time to achieve your goals measurable to help you stay motivated. Being able to see light at the end of the tunnel will keep you motivated.

4. Be sure to break you goals down small enough that you can have success in achieving the smaller goals over a short period of time.

5. Make sure your goals are realistic, but challenging.

6. Prioritize your goals.

It is important to reevaluate your goals periodically to keep you on track and motivated.

You may need to make adjustments in your goals from time to time  if they are not challenging.

You should be prepared to make adjustments in your goals to fit changes that occur in your life. As you move forward in your life some goals may no longer seem to hold the same priority they once did.
